I took a weekend trip up north with my boyfriend and friend for work at the Facebook headquarters! The last time I was there was more than ten years ago during summer time and I hated it! Well, for one thing, I was still a kid who expected summers to be the same everywhere else in California, but it was the total opposite which I did not expect. And I-hate-the-cold. So, my memory of San Francisco made me not want to visit in a long time. But this time around, I gave in because it was for work, and I actually dreamt of the city not too long ago so I thought it was a sign going back. I wanted to come back with a new perspective and I definitely wanted to see the Golden Gate Bridge again.
In preparation for the brief trip, packing was stressful! I literally packed three days worth of clothes.. and that's the lightest I've ever packed. Normally, as most girls do, we pack OPTIONS and a variety of them. In this case, I packed an exact amount because the trip was so short. And I THOUGHT I was good to go.
This was the first outfit I wore on set, and that was dumb. It was 7am when I arrived and it was freezing to the point where it felt like knives stabbing all over my skin. Luckily after meeting with the wardrobe designer, he decided on another outfit for me.
I ended up with a BDG collared madras top with a Topshop high-waisted pair of jeans. It definitely was a lot warmer than what I had on before, lol! I wore this the entire work day, and boy - it was a long day having only 2 1/2 hours of sleep that night from the drive to San Francisco and only leaving on a Friday night after work. I met a lot of interesting people though which was a bit entertaining. We also go to have lunch with Mark Zuckerberg too. Unfortunately I couldn't take any outfit pictures because we weren't to allowed to have our phones present at the headquarters. I thought that was insane because Facebook is basically the reason why society is so glued to their phones! So it was torture for everyone Β without it, especially me lol. So I decided to sketch my outfits for you guys instead :)
This was my last look on my last day in San Francisco and we decided to go sight-seeing and visit the Golden Gate Bridge! The weather was surprisingly amazing! It was sunny with clear skies which is rare...! We had a fun time hanging out with one of my boyfriend's good friends and she gave us a fun tour of her beautiful city. Everybody was out enjoying the weather and very interactive. We came at a good time. I definitely came home with a different perspective of the city. I loved everything about it, especially the apartments! I think I wouldn't mind living there if the weather wouldn't always stay so gloomy..
Already looking forward to going back! Love you SF!
