These days, the 90s grunge look have been a big hit on the runways and in streetstyle as well. The 90s was always my least favorite fashion decade because I thought there wasn't enough original trends to recycle from that period.. but to my surprise, few memorable looks have been coming back.. and guess what piece came back from the dead?! OVERALLS. I never thought I'd see it become a hot item today. Overalls along with the denim-on-denim look, have both been considered a fashion faux pas for some time. Denim-on-denim made its comeback last year in streetstyle among stylists, designers, and bloggers and has greatly improved its look since its debut in the 90s. Surprisingly, the overalls are also making a comeback now, and it is a-trendin'! ..I think I might just get one again!
I definitely don't own a pair now, and haven't for a loooong time since the 90s (I was in elementary!), but if I were to get one it would be from Free People. They have a ton of unique versions of overalls - different washes, contrasting denim, lengths, silhouettes, cuts, detailing, and so on. They're all super cute too! It's a great relaxed grunge look to wear on warm sunny days.
